The artist is Deineka
Working on the sketches of the murals of the building of the People’s Commissariat of Agriculture, Deineka repeatedly traveled to villages and collective farms near Moscow, where he drew materials for his images. He chose a restrained ascetic gamut, originating in the richest tradition of fresco painting, which Deineka worshiped. In this case, the artist captured a collective farm team, apparently his chairman.
